I'm sorry you're having difficulty finding affordable health insurance in Colorado. The info links on the CoverColorado website are down the left hand side of the page. One is to get quotes: https://www.covercolorado.o... That page also explains the premium discounts available for an applicant whose household income under $50,000/year or $40,000/year. However, CoverColorado was never intended to provide coverage specifically for low income individuals. Instead, it's set up as a program to provide health insurance for people who are able to afford guarantee issue coverage, but unable to qualify for a policy in the private market because of pre-existing medical conditions.
There are, however, other programs available for those with low incomes. Eligibility varies quite a bit, and you may want to contact the state to see if there's a program that might work for you. Medicaid or CICP might be possibilities, depending on your income and family situation.

I want to know what cover colorado is and doing. Their web sites are dead ended. this page answers no questions nor gives quotes or explains anything to one who is interested in a policy. They talk themselves up like they are there to help people who need insurance yet what i have read f rom others is it is way too high or same boat as getting or trying to get health insurance through the other insur companies. well when you do not make much money and have health issues how are you to pay fees over head like 7 and 800 a month??????? please explain this to me. How is that helping those that can not afford or get insured? then i get tapped out of my hard working money every month that goes to cover colorado to help these people...........so explain to me just where my money is going if your asking these poor people with health issues for god for saken amounts of money???? tell me cover colorado where is the money your taking out of my pocket going?????? i want to know!!! i barely am making ends meet with out you steeling my money for your vacations, parties or what have you with it. something is wrong with this program and think it should be checked into!

im frustrated with colorado ins when we need health care and were low income or cant afford 120 plus for ins. or for public help its for persons with kids or over 65 and if we can health care. that would help people get back into the work force world instead of the doc giving us meds to cover the problem cause lack of ins coverage cant fix the problem or having to go to a different state just to get medical care thats sick

Looked your rates and it's $773.00 a month for a 10,000 ded. policy which is still too much for us. I'm frustrated.
